I wrote a game!

I've been playing with Pico-8 for a couple of years now. I've grown to tolerate Lua as a programming language and I love the appeal of simple, resource-constrained fantasy devices.

I was looking for a quick code jam and saw this, so hey. And I decided I liked the screen resolution of TIC-80, its graphical capabilities are a lot closer to what I had when I was making games in Quickbasic back in the mid-90s and games written in TIC-80 don't quite share the same Pico-8 aesthetic so it looks a little different. I bought a copy of TIC-80 and had to justify the $5 so here we are, I did something with it.

So I did this in the course of about 20 hours. I drew the sprites when I was awake feeding my newborn kid last night, implemented half the code this morning, went out for the day, and fixed everything in the evening that was still broken having had all day to think about what I was doing wrong.

It's silly and simple, enjoy.
